Busting Those Myths About Laser Hair Removal

The holidays are a good time to spend time at the beach or lounging on the patio at night, on a tropical island destination and it's the perfect time to stay outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather as opposed to countries that do go through harsh cold weather during the holidays. Since, the holiday season is the best time of the year to have fun and enjoy yourself, dressing up in your favorite shorts and cocktail dresses, women generally spend a great deal of time shaving, hoping that their days will not be ruined by those small, prickly hairs that won't seem to go away, explains a doctor at the Medical Clinics in Dubai.
However, for women who have had it with constant shaving, waxing or using hair-removal cream, there is another option, laser hair removal, a nonsurgical procedure that may be able to greatly reduce the appearance of hair on the skin's surface.
The laser hair removal procedure deactivates hair follicles on the skin, preventing hair from coming back. A low-energy laser is guided over that area of the body, where the hair needs to be removed, either in the legs, armpits or face,  ensuring all hair follicles have been properly treated with Laser Treatment in Dubai. There are many individuals, mostly women patients who want this procedure, according to the experts. However, before selecting this procedure, patients must first have a consultation with a board-certified surgeon, who will discuss the benefits, risks and factors that may affect the treatment.
As with most cosmetic procedures, laser hair removal has its share of pros and cons, as well. There are a few misconceptions that surround laser hair removal surgery. An expert at the Clinics in Jumeirah explained that many patients are hesitant to select this procedure because of certain negative information they have heard.
There are many interesting myths and misconceptions that people have about laser hair removal. Yet once these people opt for the treatment they regret having waited for so long as the treatment offers many long-lasting benefits and is a much easier treatment than one perceives.
One of the most popular topics that patients frequently ask about includes pain levels, time and effectiveness. The surgeon explains that generally, patients who undergo  Laser Hair Removal in Dubai, do not feel any pain when they undergo this treatment. Some patient's do experience discomfort and a few report that they have experienced a higher degree of pain.  This does, however, depend upon a variety of factors, including lifestyle habits, age and genetics.
Another common concern among patients seeking the treatment is the time it takes to complete the procedure. Depending on the area of the body the treatment is done as well as the skin's pigment and hair color, a patient may require frequent treatments to get rid of all their hair. Most patients see permanent results after about three to eight sessions and Reader's Digest reported that this can be due to the fact that most hair follicles have to fully grow before they can be removed, so whatever patches are inactive during the first session may start growing after treatment.

Does Facial Exercises Work For facial Rejuvenation

Being physically beautiful, plays an important role in present day society. However, despite all this, one must understand that physical beauty cannot last forever and changes with age, and often the first signs of aging are particularly noticeable in the face, says a professional at the International Medical Clinic in Dubai.
The aesthetic correction of facial aging has long been the specialty of plastic surgeons and Dermatologist in Dubai who perform procedures such as chemical peeling, Botox and dermal fillers, laser treatment, face lifts, brow lifts, and in recent times, eyelid surgery.
The Facial Rejuvenation Clinic in Dubai explains that in recent years a less invasive and less expensive alternative to the medical approaches to facial rejuvenation has been promoted with facial exercises. There are a plethora of resources, books, DVD’s and websites with exercises that involve strength, movement or manipulation of the facial muscles. However, one must ask the question, if these exercises really do work?
The effectiveness of facial exercises has always been a topic of debate as it does raise some conflicting views. As some claim that facial exercises are an effective way to reduce wrinkles and sagging skin, others point out that the overuse of facial muscles is often the cause of wrinkles and that facial exercises thus may have the opposite effect from what was intended.
There is very little research being carried out in this area to prove the effectiveness of exercises for facial rejuvenation. However, researchers have performed a systematic review of the medical literature and have identified only a few studies that examined the effects of facial muscle exercises on facial rejuvenation. One of the articles, namely, “The Effectiveness of Facial Exercises for Facial Rejuvenation,” which appears in the January issue of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, report a very convincing and positive outcome. Despite this, the quality of the available evidence appeared to be insufficient to determine whether facial exercises are effective for facial rejuvenation. The studies did not use a control group and in most studies, there was no objective assessment that took place. It was the authors and/or the patients themselves who concluded that there was an improvement, and it did not go beyond that.
Therefore, before you come to any conclusions about the usefulness of facial exercises, it has to be properly researched and should provide facts and figures to support any claims. Studies should be conducted with larger groups of participants and studies that compare treated with untreated patients and use objective measurements. Studies are also needed that compare various types of exercises, and it should be  investigated  if it makes a difference, how long and how intense the exercises should be.
The Skin Care Clinic in Dubai, explains that it is possible that facial exercises only work up to a certain age or when the signs of aging are still gentle on the appearance. But despite all this, does facial exercises for facial rejuvenation work? The only answer that the research allows is a 'maybe, but also maybe not, or maybe not always'.
