TIPS TO MAINTAINING A HOLLYWOOD SMILE IN DUBAI

If there is a universal language or sign of friendship and acceptance, it is a smile. One of the most treasured and precious acts we can do as humans, a smile goes a long way in resolving conflicts, reducing anger, and overall creating an atmosphere of cordiality and peace. However, due to self-conscious traits especially concerning one’s dental condition, most of us keep our smiles hidden under wraps, leading to sometimes awkward social situations. One of the primary reasons for this is, we do not take adequate care of our teeth not do we pay sufficient attention to our oral hygiene. Before we know it, our teeth have deteriorated before their time.

REGULAR BRUSHING

This is one of the most basic habits of good oral hygiene that are taught to us from a very young age. Brushing twice a day in the morning and night is necessary, and doing so correctly is very important. Merely running the brush over your teeth lazily will not do the job. Ensure you invest in a good brush that is capable of reaching touch spots and gets out food particles from between your teeth well. Brushing before bed is especially critical as you spend all those hours asleep, during which time bacteria and plaque begin forming as a result of acids in your saliva. Rinsing your mouth out after meals will also help in controlling this situation.

FLOSS

Although people seem to think this is not all that necessary, flossing actually plays a major role in maintaining good oral hygiene. A toothbrush can only reach so much, which is where dental floss is useful. It can reach into grooves between teeth where food is most likely to remain and then convert into plaque as a result of bacteria. Flossing at least once during your daily brushing routine can help in keeping your pearly whites in good condition.

STOP SMOKING

Easier said than done, however smoking is one of the biggest problems of oral issues. It contributes greatly to bad breath, discoloured and decaying teeth, and is also the cause of mouth cancers. Smoking is harmful to your health overall, however taking the dental side into consideration, there are a number of risks associated with the cancer stick. You should also keep in mind that quitting cigarettes will not only save you money on them, but also extra cash you spend on ensuring you do not reek of the smell. In a non-smoking environment you will need to use mint or gum of some kind to help disguise the smell.

REDUCE UNHEALTHY BEVERAGES

Once in a while, a soda or a coffee is not harmful to health provided you maintain a healthy routine in general. Excessive consumption of sodas, coffee and alcohol however will have negative effects on your teeth as well as your body. Dark liquids are known to stain especially tea, coffee and wine which are hard to get rid of through regular brushing. You need to get a professional cleaning done to restore the white of your teeth.
Ensure you go to a reliable dentist one that is recommended, and trustworthy as someone inexperienced could end up causing you more harm than good costing you more time and money in the process.
