Busting Those Myths About Laser Hair Removal

The holidays are a good time to spend time at the beach or lounging on the patio at night, on a tropical island destination and it's the perfect time to stay outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather as opposed to countries that do go through harsh cold weather during the holidays. Since, the holiday season is the best time of the year to have fun and enjoy yourself, dressing up in your favorite shorts and cocktail dresses, women generally spend a great deal of time shaving, hoping that their days will not be ruined by those small, prickly hairs that won't seem to go away, explains a doctor at the Medical Clinics in Dubai.
However, for women who have had it with constant shaving, waxing or using hair-removal cream, there is another option, laser hair removal, a nonsurgical procedure that may be able to greatly reduce the appearance of hair on the skin's surface.
The laser hair removal procedure deactivates hair follicles on the skin, preventing hair from coming back. A low-energy laser is guided over that area of the body, where the hair needs to be removed, either in the legs, armpits or face,  ensuring all hair follicles have been properly treated with Laser Treatment in Dubai. There are many individuals, mostly women patients who want this procedure, according to the experts. However, before selecting this procedure, patients must first have a consultation with a board-certified surgeon, who will discuss the benefits, risks and factors that may affect the treatment.
As with most cosmetic procedures, laser hair removal has its share of pros and cons, as well. There are a few misconceptions that surround laser hair removal surgery. An expert at the Clinics in Jumeirah explained that many patients are hesitant to select this procedure because of certain negative information they have heard.
There are many interesting myths and misconceptions that people have about laser hair removal. Yet once these people opt for the treatment they regret having waited for so long as the treatment offers many long-lasting benefits and is a much easier treatment than one perceives.
One of the most popular topics that patients frequently ask about includes pain levels, time and effectiveness. The surgeon explains that generally, patients who undergo  Laser Hair Removal in Dubai, do not feel any pain when they undergo this treatment. Some patient's do experience discomfort and a few report that they have experienced a higher degree of pain.  This does, however, depend upon a variety of factors, including lifestyle habits, age and genetics.
Another common concern among patients seeking the treatment is the time it takes to complete the procedure. Depending on the area of the body the treatment is done as well as the skin's pigment and hair color, a patient may require frequent treatments to get rid of all their hair. Most patients see permanent results after about three to eight sessions and Reader's Digest reported that this can be due to the fact that most hair follicles have to fully grow before they can be removed, so whatever patches are inactive during the first session may start growing after treatment.

Does Facial Exercises Work For facial Rejuvenation

Being physically beautiful, plays an important role in present day society. However, despite all this, one must understand that physical beauty cannot last forever and changes with age, and often the first signs of aging are particularly noticeable in the face, says a professional at the International Medical Clinic in Dubai.
The aesthetic correction of facial aging has long been the specialty of plastic surgeons and Dermatologist in Dubai who perform procedures such as chemical peeling, Botox and dermal fillers, laser treatment, face lifts, brow lifts, and in recent times, eyelid surgery.
The Facial Rejuvenation Clinic in Dubai explains that in recent years a less invasive and less expensive alternative to the medical approaches to facial rejuvenation has been promoted with facial exercises. There are a plethora of resources, books, DVD’s and websites with exercises that involve strength, movement or manipulation of the facial muscles. However, one must ask the question, if these exercises really do work?
The effectiveness of facial exercises has always been a topic of debate as it does raise some conflicting views. As some claim that facial exercises are an effective way to reduce wrinkles and sagging skin, others point out that the overuse of facial muscles is often the cause of wrinkles and that facial exercises thus may have the opposite effect from what was intended.
There is very little research being carried out in this area to prove the effectiveness of exercises for facial rejuvenation. However, researchers have performed a systematic review of the medical literature and have identified only a few studies that examined the effects of facial muscle exercises on facial rejuvenation. One of the articles, namely, “The Effectiveness of Facial Exercises for Facial Rejuvenation,” which appears in the January issue of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, report a very convincing and positive outcome. Despite this, the quality of the available evidence appeared to be insufficient to determine whether facial exercises are effective for facial rejuvenation. The studies did not use a control group and in most studies, there was no objective assessment that took place. It was the authors and/or the patients themselves who concluded that there was an improvement, and it did not go beyond that.
Therefore, before you come to any conclusions about the usefulness of facial exercises, it has to be properly researched and should provide facts and figures to support any claims. Studies should be conducted with larger groups of participants and studies that compare treated with untreated patients and use objective measurements. Studies are also needed that compare various types of exercises, and it should be  investigated  if it makes a difference, how long and how intense the exercises should be.
The Skin Care Clinic in Dubai, explains that it is possible that facial exercises only work up to a certain age or when the signs of aging are still gentle on the appearance. But despite all this, does facial exercises for facial rejuvenation work? The only answer that the research allows is a 'maybe, but also maybe not, or maybe not always'.

Botox Treatment For Chronic Sweating

The FDA in 2004, approved the use of Botox in Dubai for a condition called Hyperhidrosis or severe underarm sweating. Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition caused by over stimulated sweat glands. People with this condition often produce four to five times more sweat than a normal  person.
Experts at the Skin Care Clinic in Dubai have identified the following as triggers for Hyperhidrosis,
  • Exercise
  • Environmental conditions such as extreme cold and heat
  • Food such as alcohol, coffee, tea, smoking, hot or spicy food
  • Stress, anxiety and strong emotions
If a notice that you have  excessive sweating of at least 6 months duration with at least two of the following characteristics, that you  are suffering from Hyperhydrosis, and this can be treated with Botox.
  • Bilateral and relatively symmetrical sweating
  • Makes it impossible to attend to daily activities
  • At least one episode per week
  • The symptoms occurred before the age of 25 years
  • Family history
  • Cessation of sweating during sleep
Botox has been  proven to be an effective hyperhidrosis treatment.  A small dose of the Botox solution is  injected through a very fine needle into the underarm area  and Botox temporarily blocks the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When these glands don't get the chemical signals they need, the excessive underarm sweating stops. The treatment will take about 5 - 10 minutes, is absolutely painless and the treatment is reported to last 6 - 9 months. The effects of the treatment vary from person to person. Depending on how severe the Hyperhidrosis, multiple injections will be required. Once the patient has the treatment, within about 1 - 2 weeks they may see a significant reduction in underarm sweating.
Some of the pre-treatment instructions that a patient should follow include,
  • Firstly, shave the area 24 hours prior to the procedure
  • Before the procedure, avoid hot beverages or going to the gym
  • Avoid using deodorants and other underarm products
  • Patients should not consume alcohol before the procedure
  • Any sort of pain management medication should not be taken
 What should a patient expect,
  • An Iodine solution will be painted in the area
  • Starch powder will then be sprinkled and will be allowed to settle for 10 minutes.
  • A blue-black mark will identify the affected area of perspiration.
  • The area will then be circled and marked.
  • The Botox treatment is then injected next to each pen marking
Some of the post treatment instruction for the procedure includes,
  • Avoiding the use of deodorant for 12 hours
  • Avoid heavy exercise for 24 hours
  • Once the Botox treatment is administered, the patient needs to gently clean and dry the underarm area using a mild soap.
  • Patients may see results in as little as 7days, and the treatment can be totally effective in 14 days.
  • Contact the Clinic if you experience sweating in the treated area after 14 days.
The experts at the International Medical Clinic in Dubai explained that Botox is not a treatment that is traditionally used for treating wrinkles anymore, it has many other uses than being just for cosmetic purposes. The medical benefits of Botox are immense as well.

Botox The Treatment For Headaches

Most people wonder if  Botox in Dubai is a solution that can cure chronic migraine. The first thing a person thinks about when they hear the word Botox is that its simply an effective, successful and a 21st Century treatment for wrinkles and crows feet caused by aging skin. However, scientists and researchers consider Botox as a sub-type of botulinum toxin, the bacteria responsible for botulism.
Although this train of thought is correct and we are simply looking on the surface for when it comes to viable medicinal and cosmetic uses of Botox. In fact, recent reports suggest that Botox can be used to successfully treat headaches and migraine.
The History of Botox
In the early years, most patient's who had Botox treatment reported that they noticed an improvement in headache symptoms. Following these reports, researchers carried out clinical trials on patients experiencing different types of headache. At the time, the research results were inconclusive and there was no discernible difference found between a placebo and the real thing.
However, the report did show significant results in patient's who were suffering from chronic migraine, who did not report an improvement and further testing was needed. The further tests carried out reported very surprising results as those suffering from migraine and chronic headaches reported an improvement in their symptoms following Botox treatment.
The experts at the Clinics in Jumeirah explains, how Botox works as a successful treatment for migraine and chronic headaches. It is not exactly known how Botox relieves migraine symptoms, but it is assumed that the relief Botox brings may have nothing to do with its muscle relaxing properties, but rather the effect it has on the central pain processing systems that are responsible for migraine or chronic headaches. Patients also report that Botox has also brought relief to those suffering from  lower back pain, cervical dystonia or neck pain, bladder pain and neuropathic pain.
Therefore, for those who are suffering from migraine or chronic headaches, here are some reason that Botox can work,
  • Botox can relax the muscles around the head and neck area and reduce blood pressure in the Brian.
  • Botox can prevent the signals that are being sent by the nerves that produce migraine and chronic headache pain
  • Botox will reduce the possibility of the nerves sending pain signals during a migraine.
For those who are suffering from migraine and chronic headaches and want to try Botox, there are medical facilities that are licensed and use Botox specifically for the treatment of these conditions. The experts at the Medical Clinics in Dubai explain that Botox is only suitable for patients who experience chronic headaches or migraine, such as headaches that occur on 15 or more days every month.
However, not all patients are comfortable with using Botox for chronic headaches and migraines, and for these patient there are other types of treatment available. However, these sorts of treatment may not be able to provide the relief that the patient needs, therefore, it's good to educate yourself on the treatment provided by Botox for headaches and migraines and hope its becomes a reality soon.

Surgical or Laser Scar Removal in Dubai

Have you ever wondered about the difference between the two scar removal in Dubai treatments. Whether it should be Laser Scar Removal or Surgical.  Laser scar treatment is a prevailing technique that is used to improve all types of scars.  This also can be accomplished by  other techniques such as dermabrasion as well. Those who have blemishes caused by wounds, an accident, acne or a medical condition, laser treatments or dermabrasion can help reduce the appearance of the scar and make it less prominent in areas of the body that are very noticeable and even if the scar has extended beyond where the initial injury occurred, the built up collagen that has caused this to happen can be removed with laser procedures.
Like all types of Laser Treatment in Dubai, scar removal is not a procedure for everyone to have. For those who already have skin related problems such as psoriasis, then laser scar removal is not a good option to be used to reduce scarring. More often, scar removal on sensitive skin can just make things look and feel worse for the patient, instead of giving them a solution or boost their confidence.  Dermatologist in Dubai advises that certain types of medications should not  be mixed with laser scar removal.
The treatment of laser scar removal is done by removing layers of skin. Exposing new, fresh, healthy and unblemished skin below and leave each treatment with the scar being less and less visible. The laser also activates collagen cells in the skin, the very things that help the skin heal and stay firm. Therefore, getting laser treatments for scar removal for the skin can make the skin look more youthful, and feel healthier and firmer.
The biggest risk with laser scar removal is a change in color around the area treated. Those who work outdoors or go out in the sun will make the color difference more obvious and prominent. As with most laser treatment, a patient needs to be careful and follow the post care instruction given by the doctor. Despite the aftercare that is followed, if there are infections of post laser scar removal, antibiotics can make the patient heal.
The most common type of scar removal that is done today is with lasers or dermabrasion. This is a simple, low risk procedure that takes less than two hours to finish, which will depend on the strength of the scar, and subsequent treatments may be necessary.
For very severe scar marks the doctor may recommend getting it surgically removed instead. There are techniques that can be used to  improve the appearance of facial scars by re-orienting the scars into what is called resting skin tension lines. A patient's wrinkles and facial muscles, then help the re-aligned scars to heal better. This type of scar removal takes a lot longer to heal and is usually only done in severe cases. This method is more of a traditional scare removal method as opposed to laser scar removal, which is still a relatively new technology. The best type of procedure that is best for wiping out the blemish will need to be discussed by the patient and the surgeon at the Skin Care Clinic in Dubai

Controlling Swelling Rhinoplasty

Every operation, no matter how small it is there is always swelling of the surrounding area or the surgical site, and Rhinoplasty is no exception. The swelling will vary from person to person and is greater if both the inside and outside of the nose have been operated on, or in patients who have undergone surgery to improve the breathing function of their nose. Here are some tips provided by the Dermatologist in Dubai to keep the swelling down after a rhinoplasty.
  • Keep the head elevated, upright or lifted up as much as possible after the surgery is performed. A patient should sleep with their head elevated for at least two weeks after surgery.
  • While resting, use a cold compress over the nose and mid-facial areas. Cold compresses are only effective for the swelling during the first 48 hours after surgery. After that, there is no need to use a cold compress to relieve the discomfort. Make sure when you are doing this that the compress is not wet or moist.
  • Don't bend over or lift any heavy things for two weeks. Bending over can aggravate the swelling as well as raise blood pressure and increase the chance of hemorrhaging.
  • Try as much as possible to avoid hitting or bumping the nose into things, especially during sleeping.
  • Avoid excess sun exposure on the face for at least four months as this will reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation. Normal exposure is ok, but don't overdo it, you can use a sunscreen with SPF 30. During the summer, sunscreen should be applied to the nose every two hours to avoid burning.
  • Patients who use hair dryers to dry their hair should only use a handheld blow dryer. Avoid sitting at an overhead dryer that is used at the hair salon for at least two weeks.
  • Avoid getting the nasal dressings wet. If the tape gets wet while having a shower simply pat it dry. If the patient notices the bandage coming off, the doctor should be notified.
  • Try to use the nose and touching the surrounding area as less as possible for at least the first week of surgery. It will not relieve the sensation of blockage a person feels, but it will aggravate this sensation, because suction created on the inside will cause more swelling says an expert in Cosmetic Dermatology in Dubai. Avoid blowing the nose for at least two weeks as this could lead to bleeding.
  • Avoid rubbing the nose or nostril with a tissue or handkerchief. It will aggravate the swelling, cause infection, bleeding or dislodge the cartilage inside the nose.
  • If the doctor has used dissolvable stitches at the base of the nose, clean them as instructed. Regularly cleaning the stitches will help keep the stitches and crust soft and more comfortable.
Usually, for patients who have undergone this type of Dermatology treatment in Dubai, doctors will advise them to use a saline nasal spray, to help clear the nostrils and any discomfort with breathing or nasal related.

Laser Hair Removal Myths in Dubai

The advantages and disadvantages of Laser Hair Removal in Dubai  are in abundance on the television, advertisements and the internet, so it can be a real challenge to make sense of myth and fact. Here is a look at what laser hair removal is and isn’t so that you choose the best option and have a safe treatment.
Myth: Laser Treatment is not safe
Laser Treatment in Dubai is very safe as long as it has been approved by the local Health Ministry and the FDA. Patients should ideally ask their doctors what sort of laser that is being used as some clinics may use cheap and low quality lasers that are not approved, resulting in disastrous effects.  Therefore, as long as the clinic is using lasers that has been determined safe, there is nothing to worry about.
Myth: Laser hair removal can cause a lot of hair growth
Dermatologist in Dubai says that there is no way a laser can create more hair growth. Human bodies are changing all the time, therefore with age, there could be people who lose hair in some places, while others may start growing hair in new places in their body. Laser hair removal can destroy hair follicles, but cannot prevent new ones from developing.
Myth: Despite the type of hair and color, laser treatment works for you and just about everyone.
Meet with a good Dermatologist to discuss the expected results. The end result of the treatment can vary according to the individuals hair color and skin type. While red hair can be difficult to remove, white and gray hair cannot be removed with laser treatment. Hairs that lack pigment cannot be removed as its impossible for the lasers to identify the hair follicles and destroy them.
Myth: Laser hair removal exposes a person to radiation
Experts in Cosmetic Dermatology in Dubai say that laser hair removal does not emit any radiation. While there could be radiation in between the light barriers of the laser, it does not exit the barriers and is not harmful to the recipient of laser hair removal in any way.
Myth: Permanent hair removal can be done in one session
The expert's at the Clinic will tell you that one session is not enough to get rid of hair growth. The reason for multiple treatment is because the hair grows in different cycles and growth at different times, so all hairs cannot be treated and targeted with one single treatment session. Receiving multiple treatment sessions are the only way to effectively destroy all hair follicles and this can be don't over a period of time.
Prior to deciding on having laser hair removal meet with a reputed expert for an initial consultation to have all your questions and concerns addressed. This is the best time to check about the type of lasers that are used by the clinic and if they are approved, the overall cost, the success rate of the treatment and the possible side effects that you may have as a result.

The Good and Bad of Botox Dubai

Botox Dubai is a common treatment. For those of you who are not familiar with the treatment, Botox is a treatment where,  liquid neurotoxin is injected into the muscles that are used to treat frown lines, squint and smile lines, nasal crease lines, horizontal forehead wrinkles and crow's feet. By making the underlying muscles to relax, the wrinkles and deep lines become less prominent. Basically, it makes the wrinkles and lines on the skin, in the particular area vanish, giving the patient a more youthful appearance.
Botox approved by the FDA in 2002 and since then it has been used to treat many patients all over the world for medical and cosmetic reasons. The liquid Botox is produced in a laboratory by a bacterium called “Clostridium botulinum”. It has been purified under very strict and controlled laboratory conditions.
Once Botox is injected into the patients small facial muscles, it stays in the area, it was injected and does not travel to any other part of the body. The injection wears off over a period of 3 -6 months.
The International Clinics in Dubai use Botox frequently for frown lines, lines under the eyes often refer to as crow's feet, horizontal forehead lines, nasal scrunch or squint lines, lines on the neck and to fix a smile that shows a significant amount of gum tissue also called gummy smiles.
Botox is also used in small qualities in a number of areas of the face. Some use it to raise the outer part of the eyebrow if it is sagging, lift the corners of the mouth, make the lip appear longer to cover gummy smiles and to smoothen out dimpled chins. In general Botox is not used in the lines around the mouth as it makes a person have difficulty eating and speaking. In the area around the mouth, a treatment called dermal fillers are used to remove unwanted wrinkles.
Dermatologist at the Clinics in Jumeirah say that the effect of Botox lasts between 3 - 6 months. After a few treatments are done, the volume of Botox used for treatment will be reduced. Botox treatment will not be carried out on pregnant women or nursing mothers, patients with neuromuscular diseases like myasthenia gravis (MG) and ALS or motor neuropath and also patients who are allergic to human albumin, should not consider Botox.
Some of the side effects of Botox include, bruising, eyebrow or eyelid droops,  a temporary headache, and  sometime mild but rare flu-like symptoms. Side effects are usually visible if Botox is injected in large amounts for medical purposes and not for small amounts that is used for cosmetic treatment.
Some of the cosmetic side effects of Botox treatment are frozen forehead, one or both eyebrows that pop up too much, eyelid drooping and the feeling of a heavy brow.
Botox is a successful treatment, and it should be customized to suit the individuals face and expressions. The dermatologist should consider factors such as, the facial muscles used the most, facial balance, a person’s career and personal preferences and social desires prior to Botox treatment. A good dermatologist will talk to the patients and answer any questions and concerns about  the procedure before going ahead with the treatment.

The dental material used to construct dental implants are durable and long lasting, resulting in your dental implants lasting for many years. Like with all other procedures and dental work, once must maintain a good oral care regime that includes brushing and flossing daily and regular dental visits and check ups are required as special tools are used to clean dental implants that does not damage the metal surface beneath the gum tissue. Scar Removal Dubai

Scar removal in Dubai is a very popular treatment option for individuals who are embarrassed and going through a lot of emotional distress due to acne, surgical and other types of scars. Thankfully, they are not alone, and can turn to laser scar removal. Laser scar removal uses non-ablative fractional erbium laser treatments to reduce the size of the scar and turns red bumpy scars  into fine white scars that blend with the appearance. This treatment option works by building new healthy, smooth collagen to replace excess, disorganized compact collagen in scars. Research shows that laser treatment is highly successful in treating scars quickly and has long pasting results.
Laser scar removal is safe and a  very comfortable treatment that is performed by an experienced Dermatologist in Dubai. Most patients will feel a slight pain or discomfort during the treatment. The treatment duration will depend on the size of the area.  Healing is faster than any other procedure so you don't have to worry about taking time off work or putting your day to day activities on hold. The side effects are literally nonexistent, with only temporary redness and swelling that will subside in a couple of days. Laser scar removal treatment is suitable for all skin types. For long lasting results and the complete removal of scars a patient may need more than one treatment session. This will also depend on the nature, size and type of the scar and the type of skin.
Scars on a person's skin is formed when the natural healing process of a wound is disrupted by too little or too much collagen production. Some of the common types of scars that are treated by  Laser Treatment Dubai are,
  • Atrophic scarring- these are pin-like pockets in the skin that is a consequence of  skin conditions or diseases such as acne and chicken pox

Teeth Whitening Dubai

Teeth whitening in Dubai are one of the quickest ways to make your appearance more youthful and radiant. If your teeth are missing or are poorly aligned, discolored and you basically have unhealthy teeth , this can affect the first impression people have on you. In order to give a good first impression and 'youth-anize'  your smile to make you look much younger than your age, take advantage of the benefits of tooth whitening and feel the years drop off with your youthful smile.
People opt for teeth whitening at the dental Clinics in Jumeirah to remove the embarrassing stains on their teeth that occur over a period of time due to various factors. Some stains can be removed while others require multiple treatment.
Extrinsic stains are stains that develop on the outer surface of the teeth due to exposure to dark beverage such as coffee,  tobacco and certain types of food. To prevent extrinsic stains from discoloring teeth,  brushing and periodic dental cleaning is important. However, if the stains do penetrate the dentin due to negligence it can be impossible to treat, even with professional teeth whitening products or the latest dental equipment.
Intrinsic stains form on the interior of teeth and is a direct result of too much exposure to fluoride, minerals, trauma and aging. These types of stains are more complicated to deal with and are also very common. Some of the latest dental technology that is available at the International Medical Clinic Dubai's dental unit can whiten even the most stubborn intrinsic stains. A patient will require multiple teeth whitening treatments to achieve optimum results.
Depending on the type of tooth staining  a patient has, there are several treatment options available. The dentist in Dubai will discuss the best option with the patient, which is usually an in-office whitening treatment as opposed to the professional teeth whitening products that can be used at the convince of your home. In -office teeth whitening treatment is more effective as it can be closely monitored by the dentist.
Professional teeth whitening can be fast and effective, however a consultation with your dentist is important, as prior to the whitening treatment all other dental problems and issue need to be attended to. For instance, if the dentist spots a cavity at the initial consultations, he will first treat the cavity before moving on to teeth whitening.
Teeth whitening is one great option to lift your spirits and make you look youthful and have a bright white smile.

What characteristics are you looking for when you want to consult a Top dentist in Dubai? Obviously you're looking for the best oral care and it's crucial to find a reliable and reputable Dentists to accommodate your needs and one who can be reached when you're having a dental emergency.
There are many factors to consider when you looking for the a good dentist in Dubai such as comfort, experience, their bedside manner, how they deal with patients with dental phobias, how they deal with children and the type of services they offer.
  • Talk to your friends, family and people whom you trust for a good opinion. Ask them to refer you to a good, affordable dentist. If you have just moved to Dubai and find it difficult to ask friends, then ask a co-worker or someone who has been in the area for a long time for a good recommendation.
  • Do your homework and research.Good dental Clinics in Jumeirah will have impressive websites, with reviews and patient testimonials. You can use online directories to look for dentists, but make sure to cross off dentists who offer usually low prices, are not located in a respectable neighborhood in Dubai or Jumeirah area, without a proper office and those who have negative reviews. Websites will show you the location and the interior of the office and a reputed dentists sure has pictures of his dental clinic. Avoid dental offices that don't even have a basic website, as in today's day and age a business is viewed by its website.
  • Check out the credentials of the dentists - Usually dentists will have their picture along with their credentials and expertise featured on the website. If you're looking for a reputable dentist, check out his achievements and awards as well the expertise and experience of the rest of the dental team. Remember a genuine dentist will not hide his achievements and qualifications, but will be very transparent.
  • Once you decide on a reputable dentist schedule a face-to-face consultation. Ask the dentist important questions at the visit, for instance the waiting period to get an appointment, the equipment they use, the availability during an emergency and payment options.
  • Evaluate your first appointment. Well, it's nothing like trying something before you form an opinion. The same will apply to a good dentist as well. Evaluate your visit, was the dentist kind and concerned, where they able to offer good advice, was the pain control adequate, did the dentist explain the procedure and did you have few complications after the treatment. If you can safely say yes to these then you have found a good dentist who care about your smile.
However, keep in mind that not all dentists can perform all dental treatments and procedures. For instance, general dentist or a family dentist can treat basic care, maintenance, and preventative dentistry. While a specialized dentist at the International Medical Clinic Dubai  can treat dental problems associated with orthodontics, restorative dentistry and aesthetic dentistry.

Can a Nerve Issue Cause a Headache

Have you been suffering from a headache for a long period of time? Has your family or friends recommended that you visit a neuro spinal clinic in Dubai? You may be thinking what the nerves and spine has got to do with a headache. Neurosurgeon in Dubai has attended to many patients at clinics in Jumeirah who have been complaining about unbearable and reoccurring headaches.
Any international medical clinic in Dubai would be able to explain how nerve problems can lead to headaches. Many of the common irritants to nerves are bacterial and viral infections which includes post-viral neuralgias, meningitis and shingles. The treatment will vary depending on the cause but as soon as the underlying reason is addressed the recurring headaches will ease.
The brain communicates with the full body and controls vital body functions through the nervous system. It is this nervous system that will first react to any changes within or outside the body. The spinal cord and the brain are known as the central nervous system. The nerves in the body are known as the peripheral nervous system. The nervous system is made up of nerve cells known as neurones. These neurons come in different shapes and sizes depending on the role they play and what part of the body they are in.
One of the conditions that can lead to a headache is known as Haemorrhages. This is a condition where a blood vessel in the skull can get ruptured or damaged. Headache is one symptom along with soreness in the neck and sometimes difficulty in controlling parts of the body. These symptoms will all depend on where the haemorrhage is located. This is a very serious condition which will require immediate medical attention. This condition of weakening of the blood vessels can be caused by many reasons including brain tumours, head trauma, high blood pressure, aneurysms or atherosclerosis.
If the patient is experiencing a dull, aching and chronic headache it could be a brain tumour. These tumours rarely cause headaches. Recovery is much more likely from a tumour in the brain if diagnosed early while the tumour is still benign.
Infections leading to headaches will be occupied with other symptoms including fevers, seizures and stiffness in the neck. The common infections are temporal arteritis, meningitis, shingles and post-viral neuralgias.  Nerve damages from various infections, tumours, trauma or vitamin deficiencies can also lead to headaches and pains.

Why do Dental Clinics Have a Dental Hygienist?

Dentist in UAE have tight schedules almost every day with the increasing number of patients who seek their services every day. With the number of patients at clinics in Jumeirah increasing, dentists in Dubai can use all the helping hands they can get.
Dental hygienists play a major role in dental clinics in preparing the patients for various diagnosis and treatment. If you stepped in to get your teeth sparkling like a Hollywood smile in Dubai a dental hygienist will be the first one you need to thank, as he or she will be the one responsible to prepare you in every way for the relevant treatment.
Any dental clinic will feel incomplete without dental hygienists to assist in providing various dental treatments to patients.  The role of a dental hygienist begins with conducting and taking the patients through the initial screening procedures of the dental clinic. They will be held responsible to check the health history, assess the oral health, inspect the neck and head, check the blood pressure and pulse, dental charting, screening for oral cancer and many other designated tasks. Their role will also include taking dental X-Rays and to assist dentists to make impressions of a patients teeth to create the study cast, with which the dentist can better evaluate a patients requirements.
Dental hygienists in some clinics are also assigned the task of removing build-up of calculus and plaque from the surface of the patients’ teeth. They are also trained on handling preventing dental treatments including applying sealants and fluorides to patients’ teeth.
Dental hygienist also plays the role of an educator in assisting and guiding patients on how to maintain their oral health through proper dental care procedures. They will also be able to provide nutritional advice and how it can boost oral health.
Dentist rarely get the time to complete paper works and documentation regarding patients with their busy schedules. This is where the dental hygienist can sometimes help the dentist, and take control of managing the office and all related documenting tasks.
This job role provides great satisfaction to the person working as a dental hygienist as he or she is the person who works closely with the patients to help them feel comfortable and get the best care and treatment they deserve. They are able to win the trust of the patients with their care and attention to details and are respected as valuable team members of any oral health team.
